Who Run RVA?: Juwan Carter
Carter may be diminutive in size, but he is dynamic. This dual-threat QB is half gridiron general and half magician. He consistently displays the mobility necessary to move around in the pocket and the agility to quickly take off if nothing develops in front of him. Carter is patient though, so he does not scramble to run, he keeps his eyes downfield and uses his legs to buy time for receivers to get open when possible.
Carter has a clean delivery and throws a nice deep ball. Operating the spread, he is also effective on called runs. This combination allows him to consistently place pressure on defenses.
Clearly Carter is undersized and thus may not play QB at the next level, but with his talent, skill, athletic ability and accomplishments in the classroom, he will make an excellent edition to your D-1 program.
The Springers went 14-1 last season and captured a state title. They hope to repeat in 2016.
