Anthony Smith of Central Pa. is a versatile athlete with the skill to play multiple positions all over the field. Smith possesses a lethal combination of speed, length and strength that makes him a problem for the opposition.
In a match-up versus Friendship Academy on Saturday, Smith had his full range of talent on display. Early in the game, he took a hand off from QB, Mario Easterly and plunged into the end zone to give Central Pa a lead that they would not relinquish.
Over the span of the rest of the game, Smith caused problems for the Friendship offense—whether he was setting the edge and shutting down the run or rushing the passer and forcing the Friendship quarterback to throw under pressure, Smith was a nuisance too strong to overcome. The scary thing about Anthony Smith is he is just now beginning to realize just how good he can be.
