Jake Bergmaan is an offensive weapon and if he is able to maximize his potential, will serve as a major and consistent threat against opposing defenses.
With his size, he is too big for most defensive backs and too quick for linebackers to cover. He could serve as Gonzaga’s top red zone threat this season. With Max Fisher attracting attention to his opposite side and defenses loading up to shut down Tyree Randolph, anticipate Sam Brown looking to Bergmaan as a primary target throughout the season.
At the next level, Bergmaan projects well as a stretch Tight End. He has room to add mass to his frame and that combined with his hands and speed would make him an ideal addition to any D-1 program.
