Andrew Frailer is tall, long, fast and a football player. He is physical, has above average closing speed and moves well, as he is able to range from sideline-to-sideline. He is stout against the run. Does a good job taking on and shedding blockers in route to ball carriers. Where Frailer excels though is against the pass. He is an excellent blitzer who has a knack for getting to the quarterback and rarely have I studied a backer at this level so fluent in getting into his drops and so comfortable in coverage. Frailer doesn't simply knock passes down— he picks them off.
Moving forward, there is consideration for Frailer moving to the middle linebacker position for McDonogh. Though I am certain he is a worthy leader and will have a tremendous senior season, his strength and future lie on the outside. He has a gift and it is best utilized there.
