Droppin’ Dimes in the 301: Kendell “Doc” Bonner
Kendell "Doc" Bonner may be the most talented Quarterback... that you've never heard of (on a national scale, that is). Bonner is a dual-threat playmaker at Quince Orchard. Last season, as a sophomore, he lead his team to an impress season. Displaying an ability to make big plays with both his arms and legs, Bonner earned the trust of his coaching staff; this season, he is sure to take his game to a level even higher!
Bonner has solid arm strength and a traditional overhand delivery. He gets the ball out of his hands on time and throws the ball with enough accuracy to hit his receivers in stride. Bonner is able to throw the ball all over the field, and when not defeating teams with his arm, he is often demoralizing them with his legs. Doc is electric in the open field and has enough speed to out-run defensive backs.
With his versatility and dual-threat capability, Bonner is excellent at play action; his ball skills are next level. As his team opens up the offense more, I look forward to Doc being able to make multiple reads and throw the ball all over the field. He is an extremely talented quarterback.
